You can keep your mobile phone number when you change network provider. Moving your number between networks is called porting.
If you want to bring your number to 3 from another network and have already bought your 3 mobile, you'll need to fill in and give us a valid "CAF" form. You can download the form here.
We'll carry out the port within two hours of it being authorised by your old network, as long as your account is active and it's during porting hours. Porting hours are
8am - 6pm Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
You can also ask for your number to be ported on a specific date, as long as it’s no more than 30 days in the future.
If you're leaving 3 and want to take your number with you, you'll need to contact your new network operator to arrange this. Your 3 account must be fully paid up before you can port out.
